World Championship Fever in Montreal: Our Thumbs Up for Felix Gall!

While we are comfortably enjoying the bike paths here in Graz and only occasionally facing a headwind on the Murradweg as a real challenge, our Austrian cyclists are currently sweating it out in Canada for medals. The Road World Championship in Montreal has been underway since September 20 and keeps us on the edge of our seats until September 27!

As sport.ORF.at reveals, there are several reasons to turn on the screens and cheer loudly. We are particularly excited about the elite races that are scheduled for the end of the championship. On September 26, the women's race kicks off, where Christina Schweinberger will represent Austria among others. We know what our female cyclists are capable of – anything is possible!

And on September 27, it will get really exciting for us Graz cyclists and everyone who has a heart for Austrian cycling: Felix Gall will take on the challenge in the men's elite race. After his impressive performances as second in the Giro and third in the Vuelta this season, we can expect a lot from him. He has shown that he can not only keep up but also compete at the front, even if the climbs in Montreal are probably a bit steeper than the ascent to Hilmteich-Schmankerl.

We are cheering hard for Felix Gall and the entire Austrian team for the last exciting days of the championship!
