Bicycle Station at Graz Main Train Station Extended Until 2031
Dear cycling community, I have fantastic news for everyone who loves to zip to Graz Main Train Station by bike or start their journey from there! Our beloved bicycle station in the train station building will remain with us – and not just for a few months, but until the end of 2031!
The Graz City Senate has recently decided to extend the lease agreement with the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) for the premises at the main train station. This means that the operation, which was supposed to end on December 31, 2026, will continue seamlessly. The new lease period starts on January 1, 2027, and runs for a full five years until December 31, 2031. That's quite a statement, isn't it? This way, we will have a safe and practical point of contact right at Graz Main Train Station in the coming years. The funding for this extension has also been secured in the City Senate – a clear commitment to cycling in our city!
