Stattegg: Where the youngsters take off on the pump track
Sometimes you don't have to travel far to see how the next generation of cyclists is already giving it their all. In Stattegg, right at the gates of the city, this was once again the case on October 3rd.
There, at the 3rd Pumpiläum, it was demonstrated what is possible on two wheels. The event was the venue for the final of the Cycling Austria Youngsters Cup, where the young talents showcased their skills on the pump track. It's quite impressive to see how smoothly they fly over the bumps while you yourself are already panting at the smallest hill on the Murradweg.
Such events are simply great for inspiring the youth to cycle and showing that there is still much to discover off the asphalt. It is always impressive to see how much talent is on display in Stattegg on the pump track – Graz cyclists can certainly take a cue from that before facing the everyday headwind on Triester Straße again.
