Bike Playgrounds in Graz: Play, Learn, and Ride – Now Also on Fischeraustraße!
It’s finally happening: This Friday, the first bike playground on Fischeraustraße opens its doors! The perfect mix of playground, traffic training area, and bicycle paradise for kids – right on our doorstep here in Graz. And the best part: A second bike playground at Ortweinplatz is already in the works and will also be accessible for children starting this summer. If that’s not a reason to celebrate, we don’t know what is!
What Exactly Is a Bike Playground?
For anyone not yet familiar with the concept: A bike playground is a specially designed playground where children can practice cycling in a safe environment. And not only that! Here, they learn traffic rules in a playful way, without the stress of real streets. Traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, road signs – all kid-friendly integrated into the layout to make cycling fun.
Why a Bike Playground in Graz?
Graz is becoming increasingly bike-friendly, and for good reason: Cycling makes children mobile, fit, and confident. Bike playgrounds provide a playful foundation for this.
