So, who among you in recent years also always thought about taking a little detour when Peter-Tunner-Gasse was on the route? The rail underpass there certainly wasn't our favorite spot, was it?
But now you can breathe easy, because since June the nightmare is over! After more than two years of construction work, which sometimes felt like an eternity for us cyclists — almost as long as the line at the ice cream parlor on the Hauptplatz in summer — the underpass is finally passable again.
For years this section was a real scare for many of us, one we preferred to avoid. Sometimes you wonder if some routes are deliberately built so that you'd rather take a detour via Lendplatz than have to go through. But those times are history! Now it rolls smoothly under the tracks again, and you can save yourself the detour.
So, hop on your bike and through Peter-Tunner-Gasse — perhaps on the way to a well-deserved Spritzer in the city center!
