New guidance system for cyclists in Graz – with a blue seal!
So, noticed it yet, dear cyclists? If you're out and about in Graz, you may have already spotted the first signs of a new wayfinding system that will guide us through the city even better in the future. Who doesn’t know it: You cycle through Graz, are sure you know the way, and suddenly you find yourself at a junction you’ve never seen before. But don’t worry, dear cyclists, the City of Graz has something new for us!
The first routes of a brand-new wayfinding system for cyclists have already been marked. And how can you recognize the new signs? It’s simple: look out for the “blue seal.” It’s basically our new quality mark for well-signed cycle routes, so you no longer have to guess whether the route to Lendplatz is really the quickest or whether you’d rather take a small detour via the Murinsel. (We still won’t send you up the Schlossberg by bike, even if the view is tempting!)
But this is only the beginning, because the new wayfinding system will be expanded across Graz step by step. That means soon we won’t have to rely solely on our gut feeling when we want to cycle from Augarten to Hilmteich. It will take a little patience until every corner bears a blue seal, but the start has been made!
So, eyes open and hop on your bike – the new routes are waiting to be discovered by you!
