Those who were out and about in Röthelstein on Saturday, August 8, may have witnessed the heat battle of the 14th Family Triathlon. In sweltering 29 degrees, 145 athletes took on this challenging challenge. At exactly 2 PM, the starting signal was given at Tiebersee, where they first swam 240 meters through the cool water – certainly a welcome refreshment at that temperature before things got serious.
Because after that, 18 kilometers awaited on the bike. I tell you, in that heat, it's no walk in the park; you really have to pedal hard. Respect to everyone who dedicated themselves to this distance – it's already quite exhausting just to imagine it while sitting at home on the couch with a cool drink.
