Graz Power in Grenchen: Lässer breaks records

Share:

A Styrian flies over the track!

If you think you're fast because you've been on the Murradweg without headwind, then watch out: Franz-Josef Lässer has shown us all what real speed is. The Styrian achieved a performance at the Swiss Tissot Velodrome in Grenchen that leaves us in awe.

He covered an impressive 52.054 kilometers in just one hour. As the reigning Para time trial world champion, Franz-Josef knows exactly how to push the pace. And the fact that he not only set a new Austrian hour record but also broke the world record in the Para class C5 is quite a statement. You can imagine how many times he would have overtaken us at the Hauptplatz before you even saw the first tram.

Such a performance is motivating, isn't it? Maybe this will inspire you to get out and ride a few more kilometers, even if it won't be 52 in an hour. See what you can achieve and share your rides with us! Don't forget #bikegraz on Instagram and Bluesky!
