The "Gravel Challenge AUNDRUCKN": Your event for May 2026!
Hey there, gravel fan! Have you heard the news? The lads and lasses from Gravel Grinders Graz have put together another brilliant event for us: the "Gravel Challenge AUNDRUCKN" is just around the corner! It kicks off on 9 May 2026, and I can’t wait to hit the gravel trails with you.
The name "AUNDRUCKN" says it all, doesn’t it? For anyone not from Styria (or those who didn’t know): it means ‘put your foot down’, ‘give it your all’, ‘really go for it’. Exactly what we love doing most on our gravel bikes, when the gravel crunches under the tyres and our calves are burning. It’s all about pushing our limits and enjoying the beautiful countryside around our city.
Imagine us battling our way through the woods around Plabutsch again or climbing the hills in the Graz countryside. This area offers countless opportunities for fantastic gravel adventures – from gentle climbs that reward us with panoramic views of the city, to hidden trails that lure us away from the Murradweg and into the wilderness. The Gravel Grinders are known for always devising exciting routes that challenge us and inspire us at the same time.
Of course, 9 May 2026 is still a while away (it’s only March 2026), but as we all know, anticipation is half the fun. So there’s plenty of time to get your bike in shape, perhaps plan a few longer rides and keep your legs in shape. And who knows, maybe you’ll discover some new favourite gravel spots during your training rides, which you’ll then know even better by the time the challenge comes around!
I’m already excited to see what details the Gravel Grinders Graz will reveal to us. One thing is certain: it’s going to be another unforgettable experience for the Graz gravel community!
