Der Gedscho-Trail (DH black) at Schöckl will be partially closed starting Friday, May 15, 2026. This is, of course, unfortunate for all downhill fans who were looking forward to the next descent!
Important Info on the Trail Closure at Gedscho
The closure affects the middle section of the Gedscho-Trail, specifically the section below the Halter Hut to the toll road. The reason for this is necessary forestry work being carried out in this area.
This partial closure is expected to last until the end of May 2026. So please be understanding and plan your Schöckl adventures accordingly!
But no panic! The biking fun at Schöckl will, of course, continue. The upper part of the Gedscho, the area below the toll road, and especially all the other fantastic trails on our Graz local mountain are not affected by this closure. So there are still plenty of trails to enjoy significant elevation and the rush of the wind.
Let’s use the time while the forestry workers are taking care of the forest, and look forward to the Gedscho when it is completely open for us again. Until then: Have fun biking, enjoy Schöckl – on the open sections!
