Who says that you always have to stay in Graz for exciting cycling stories? On October 14 at 6 PM, there will be an evening dedicated entirely to cycling in Frohnleiten, specifically at the Café Römerpark. This event is part of the "Grüner Herbst" in the municipality of Frohnleiten in the Graz-Umgebung district, where you can participate in energy, mobility, and urban development. It's worth the little trip out of the city, even if the way there might not be as flat as the Murradweg.
The Radlobby is of course involved and takes care of the topic of cycling in the city. However, the highlight of the evening will surely be Heike and Helmut Oberegger, who will share their incredible experiences from the Race Across Austria. Imagine cycling across Austria – there are definitely more than just a few anecdotes about headwinds, which are known to be part of the cycling network in Graz. Besides the sporting adventure, it will certainly also be about the small and big challenges one encounters on such a tour.
So, if you feel like looking beyond the plate – or better said, beyond the handlebars – and getting inspired, then head to Frohnleiten. Perhaps it's just the right occasion to take the bike out of the cellar and explore the area.
