Here’s something exciting for all gravel lovers: the Gravel Grinders Graz have announced a Grevet ride, with the first event scheduled for March 21, 2026 in Graz.
At the moment it’s just a single event – not a full series yet. But if it’s successful, it could easily grow into a regular Grevet series for the Graz gravel community.
And honestly, Graz is the perfect place for it.
Graz is perfect for gravel riding
Sometimes you want something more adventurous than the classic riverside bike paths, but without going full mountain bike mode.
That’s exactly where gravel riding shines.
Around Graz you’ll find endless options:
rolling hills near St. Peter
gravel roads towards Kainbach and Eggersdorf
forest roads in the Grazer Bergland
hidden countryside paths just outside the city
Many great routes start right at the edge of town.
What is a Grevet?
The term Grevet combines Gravel Ride and Brevet.
Unlike traditional races, Grevets focus on the experience:
interesting routes
navigation via GPX or checkpoints
long days in the saddle
and meeting other riders
It’s a great way to discover new roads and explore the countryside around Graz.
Save the date: March 21, 2026
The first Gravel Grinders Grevet will take place on March 21, 2026.
Whether it will evolve into a full series depends on how many riders join. But one thing is clear: Graz definitely has the terrain and the community for it.
