Hello BikeGraz Community!
Well, ready for another biking weekend in our beloved Graz? Even though the calendar already shows February 21, 2026, the weather still feels a bit like winter, but don't worry, we won't let that stop us!
Your Weekend Weather Check for Sunday:
- Sunday: Expect an unspectacular 10°C (50°F) and overcast skies. Yes, no brilliant sunshine, but no snow either! Perfect for loosening your legs and enjoying the fresh (though not sunny) air. Think layers to be prepared for all eventualities!
BikeGraz Events This Weekend:
This weekend we're keeping it quiet: There are no official BikeGraz group rides planned. But that doesn't mean you have to leave your bike standing! Take the opportunity for a relaxed solo ride or spontaneously meet up with a few bike buddies. The roads are yours!
Our Route Suggestions for You:
Even though our database is in a bit of hibernation, we've dug up a few Graz classics for you that always work:
- EASY (
The Murradweg southwards to Wildon and back. Flat, relaxed, and you can enjoy the scenery along the Mur without overexerting yourself. Ideal for getting your legs back in shape after the winter break.
- MEDIUM (40-80km) – For the Enjoyment Rider:
Tour through the Kainachtal. Start in Graz and follow the Kainachtal westwards. A beautiful mix of flat sections and gentle hills that takes you through charming villages like Lieboch and Lannach. Perfect for a longer ride without extreme elevation gain.
- HARD (> 80km) – The Challenge:
The classic Schöckl loop (e.g., via Semriach and St. Radegund). A real challenge for all who love to climb! Enjoy tough ascents and rewarding descents as you earn the breathtaking views from Graz's local mountain. Not for weak calves, but the reward is priceless!
Your BikeGraz Moment:
No matter which route you choose, or if you just cruise through the city – we look forward to your experiences! Share your weekend adventures with us on social media using #bikegraz.
